EMG-Based Micro-expression Database: CASMEMG
The micro-expression data and facial electromyography (EMG) data in this database were collected by inducing micro-expressions through the presentation of emotional videos, while asking individuals to maintain a neutral facial expression. The video data were captured using a 4K camera with a resolution of 3840×2160 and a frame rate of 30fps. For EMG signal collection, considering that the movements of deep muscles might be disturbed, signals from the 7 most superficial muscles were selected (channels 1-7 correspond to the frontalis, corrugator supercilii, orbicularis oculi, levator labii superioris, zygomaticus major, orbicularis oris, and depressor anguli oris) to ensure the accuracy and precision of the EMG signals. The database contains a total of 147 MaE and 233 ME samples, with keyframe timings, AUs, and emotion labels all provided.
